Leadership Cayman Class Complete Penultimate Seminar

The 2016 Leadership Cayman class learned more about the infrastructure required for sustainable economic development and environmental protecting during their Infrastructure & Environment seminar on Wednesday, 8th June.

The class met at Camana Bay on Wednesday evening, one of Grand Cayman’s highlights of sustainable economic development.

The seminar was moderated by Julie Hughes and Todd Hazlewood, with Christian Blais mentoring.

The class members took a tour of the residential home of Jim Knapp, Managing Director of renewable and sustainable energy company Endless Energy, who also sponsored the event.

They later toured the Caledinian Building, where they observed the first solar powered parking lot with over 500 solar panels.

Once the tours were completed, the class enjoyed a dinner supplied by Lobster Pot, before engaging in a discussion with the invited guest panel.

Jim Knapp was one of the panel members, and he was joined by Winston Connolly, Member of the Legislative Assembly; Sacha Tibbets, Vice President Customer Service & Technology for CUC;; and Haroon Pandohie ACIP, Director of Department of Planning.

The Leadership Cayman class have one final seminar before they graduate from the programme on 25th June.
