Dealing with disciplinary issues is something that every manager and supervisor hopes they will not have to do, but as in life generally, it wil be a necessity at some time.
Whenever it is necessary to take disciplinary action against an employee it is vital that disciplinary rules and procedures are fair and that there is consistency in the treatment of employees.
Disciplinary rules tell employees what behaviour the employer expects from them. There are two situations that apply:

- Those in which the employees does not meet the employer's expectations in the way they do their job which amounts to unsatisfactory performance which may require different treatment from misconduct
This workshop, which is designed for supervisors, line managers and HR staff, will help participants to discipline employees for inappropriate behaviour or conduct; it will stress the importance of following well defined rules and procedures and assist them to handle discipline in order to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
