Corporate Social Responsibility has never been more front-and-centre in today's business environment. Organisations worldwide are dedicating more and more attention to their corporate responsibility function, as stakeholders are demanding ethical and conscience behaviour from corporations.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about understanding and managing an organisation’s community and environmental performance alongside its financial performance. In today’s corporate world CSR is considered evidence of good management. In addition to building trust within the community and giving organisations an edge in attracting good customers and employees, acting responsibly towards workers, the environment and others in society have become critical to the long-term interest of a company and its success. CSR involves more than simply providing monetary donation to the community and environment it involves proactively developing approaches to enhance communities.
This seminar will look at CSR programs used by Fortune 500 companies as well as small and large companies operating locally. Participants will work through the development of a CSR plan and implementation strategy specific to the unique CSR needs and drivers of their organisation.
