This course is a practical and fun approach to the basics of good grammar and writing, which is a must for anyone who has to communicate in writing. Participants will be provided the opportunity to "polish" their skills through this course and should therefore have at least a moderate capability in English as a requisite.

• Review the mechanics of vocabulary - prefixes, roots and suffixes
• Overview of key spelling rules
• Standard English grammar with an emphasis on correct usage and the problems that commonly occur
• The writing process: getting started, organising information, drafting, revising
