Note that this course does not have a pre-requisite. That is, you do have to complete HR Compliance 1 (Fundamentals of Employment Contracts) in order to register for HR Compliance 1 (Fundamentals of Employee Policies Handbooks). The courses look at two different areas of compliance.
This course will feature a combination of theory and fundamentals, as well as a hands-on workshop approach on the important topic of Employee Handbooks. With a full-day spent on these topics, attendees will be given a solid basis for developing their Handbook.
Attendees will:
ü Be exposed to the various standard clauses and provisions of Handbooks;
ü See firsthand “best practice” examples of Employee Policies Handbooks;
ü Be exposed to the standard provisions and rationale for Employee Policies Handbooks in all industries in the Cayman Islands;
ü Understand how to win support for and establish their own in-house Employee Policies Handbook project;
ü Become comfortable with the body of knowledge and methodologies for developing legal and best practices compliant Employee Policies Handbooks;
ü Enjoy healthy interaction, including Questions and Discussions throughout the Course.
Participants should bring a pen and pencil as well as a notebook.
