Sponsored by KPMG, the third seminar of the 2016 Leadership Cayman (LC) programme took place at the University College of the Cayman Islands. The seminar entitled “Education & Workforce Development” was organised and moderated by LC class members Rita Estavanovich and Charles Gilman. Susie Bodden, a 2012 LC graduate, mentored this group to ensure all went off without a hitch.
The objective of the seminar was to review how education in Cayman has progressed throughout the decades and what the future holds for the next generation. The seminar began with tours of Cayman Islands Further Education Centre (CIFEC) and the University College of the Cayman Islands and was followed by dinner, breakout sessions and a panel discussion.
Panellists invited to address the group at this seminar included Wil Pineau, CCE, - CEO, Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce; Lyneth Monteith – Department of Education and Dr. Tasha Ebanks Garcia, National Workforce Development Agency.
The Chamber of Commerce gratefully acknowledges sponsors including Major sponsors Dart Enterprises Ltd. and Seminar Supporting sponsors to date: Deloitte, KPMG, Cayman National Corporation, Greenlight Re, Endless Energy and Cayman First Insurance Centre.
