COSME Representatives visit Cayman

Dr. Noel Watson, CEO of the A-Z Information Jamaica Ltd., a consultant hired by a regional programme funded by the European Union in support of the development of Small to Medium Sized Enterprises in the Overseas Territories, and Denise Leander-Watson met with representatives from the Chamber Council, C.I. Small Business Association, Ministry of Commerce and the Economics and Statistics Unit on Monday, 4th April.

The objective of the visit was to collect primary and secondary information to be used in the diversification strategy for the Overseas Territories.

During their visit, they shared the findings of Mr. Watson’s initial desk research and about other Overseas Countries and Territories; SME opportunities in the main sectors of the Cayman economy; the readiness of the sectors and SMEs to take advantage of the opportunities, and various National Development Plans and status of implementation.
