Friday saw another Speed Networking event come-and-go at the Chamber, and last week’s event was a great success. Individuals from multiple businesses on the Island came to showcase their businesses within a five-minute window.
As the spokespeople arrived, they grabbed one of the raffle tickets needed to win a chance to present, and then swiftly made their way to the conference room to help themselves to a mouth-watering lunch provided by Treats. As soon as everyone had arrived, the networking began.
Over the course of the afternoon, the participants listened intently and eagerly to spokespersons from companies and organisations including (in alphabetical order): Awesome Productions, Cayman Enterprise City, Courtney Platt Photography, Endless Energy, Hurley’s Supermarket, Integra Realty Resources - Caribbean, OMNI, RBC, and Re/Max. The presentations, although brief, were of great interest to all, and was sure to ignite some business dealings.
The final thing to do was to raffle off the wonderful prizes, graciously donated by Sandy Port. James Andrews (Integra) walked away having won a vibrant Ipanema beach towel, whilst Gerin Canin (Re/Max) was lucky to have her ticket number called to win a handy, reusable Zaxy beach bag and a flip-flop keyring. Jim Knapp (Endless Energy) was also among the raffle winners, and he kindly offered the $20 Sandy Port gift voucher to his accompanying colleague Katrina McTaggart.
Our Speed Networking sessions are always great fun and they always provide an excellent, relaxed platform for local business owners and spokespeople to showcase themselves and their brands, a well as making close business connections at the same time.
Thank you to all of our participants who came down for the afternoon, thank you to Treats for providing a terrific lunch spread, and thank you to Sandy Port for donating some wonderful prizes to be won.
