Chamber President Delivers Remarks at National Policy Workshop |
|
Chamber President, Paul Pearson has had a busy few weeks recently, having signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and having delivered some opening remarks at a workshop for a national policy on the rights and treatment of older persons. On June 30th, President Paul joined Dawn McLean-Sawney, President for the Small Business Association (CISBA) and the Hon. Wayne Panton, Minister for Financial Services, Commerce & Environment (CIG) to sign an MoU which defines the terms of a working relationship to address the challenges and needs of small-and-micro businesses. A day later, on Friday July 1st, President Paul then attended a workshop which would discuss the development of a National Older Persons Policy. President Paul explained the importance of equality for all residents in Cayman, and stressed that it was the duty of the workshop attendees, as well as the Chamber, to help shape and develop a policy that would ensure older persons equal rights, as well as the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
