Premier Travels to London to Talk Brexit

Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin travels to London Friday evening, 3 February, 2017, to gather with fellow Overseas Territories heads of state for a special Joint Ministerial Council Brexit meeting.

When the leaders met in London in October last year they agreed with the United Kingdom Government to hold a separate meeting on the issue of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union before a final vote invoking Article 50 of the EU’s Lisbon Treaty, which sets into motion the UK, EU split.

Traveling with the Premier will be Financial Services, Commerce and Environment Minister Hon. Wayne Panton; Cabinet Secretary Samuel Rose; Joint Ministerial Council “Sherpa” Jason Webster; and Senior Political Advisor to the Premier Roy Tatum.
