COSME to Discuss Innovation Management at Upcoming SME Workshop

The Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second SME workshop of 2017 on Monday, February 13, with the topic of the free session focussing on ‘Managing Innovation for SMEs.’

COSME – an EU funded initiative providing support to Caribbean OCTs – will be sending a representative to lead the workshop. Leopoldo Colombo, Managing Director at Quara Argetnina S.A., will be facilitating, and he is an expert in the field. Leopoldo currently serves as the Secretary for IRAM’s Innovation Committee, and he is a member of the ISO/TC279 Innovation Management.

Due to the competitive nature of business and the environment in which SMEs operate, it is vital that small enterprises innovate to match their competition. By the end of the session, attendees should:

• Know the innovation lexicon and be exposed to a common language, terms & definitions;

• Be aware of existing innovation, creative tools & techniques, and;

• Be aware of the steps to implement practices that promote innovation and value creation.

The ideal attendee will be in a role focussing on the development of new business, products & services in the public & private sectors. Suitable attendees will also be interested in the field of innovation and innovative techniques.
