The Ken Blanchard Leadership Series began at the Professional Development & Training Centre last week, with the first course, ‘Goal Setting,’ taking place on Thursday, February 2.
Goal setting is a vital component of professional development, and the half-day course proved the importance of:
• Understanding the link between motivation and goal setting;
• Confidently writing SMART goals;
• Encouraging the development of others through goal setting, and;
• Improving successful outcomes.
The session was facilitated by Xenia Goddard, an expert in Communication & Psychology, and a certified Blanchard Channel Partner.
When approached after the session, one attendee commented on the course and the Ken Blanchard series, saying: “The course was fantastic, and I learnt a lot that will improve my day-to-day performance and boost my activity, both personally and professionally. The facilitator was very knowledgeable and the session was very affordable with a high level of quality. I would certainly recommend the Leadership Series to anyone looking to improve their skills, and I’ll certainly be registering for the next course.”
The next course in the Ken Blanchard series will take place on Thursday, February 23, and will focus on ‘Situational Leadership Concepts.’ Those who attend the course will acquire skills that will enable them to diagnose the development levels of others and choose an appropriate leadership style, improve their communication within their organisation and with others, and much more.
