7 individuals put themselves forward for nomination to the Chamber Council, but only 3 could be selected for the position of Councillor. There were some difficult decisions to be made by the membership, as all nominees were of the highest quality. Ultimately, however, the following individuals were elected.

Mike Gibbs of Kensington Management Group was chosen by the membership. Mike has over 35 years of expertise in the offshore financial industry, and played an instrumental role in the establishment of Kensington, one of the leading insurance management companies in the Cayman Islands today.

Denise Gower of Fountainhead Business Development was elected. Denise has lived in the Cayman Islands since 1997, before which she attained an MBA with a marketing specialisation. She has used her qualifications at institutions such as Cayman Finance and Ogier.

Steve McIntosh of CML Offshore Recruitment was also chosen to serve as Councillor. This is the second-time Steve has served on the Chamber Council, and his expertise will once again be utilised by the Council. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Accounting & Psychology, and became a chartered accountant whilst working for KPMG.

Steve has been an active member in the Cayman Islands community, and has played a major role in the development of the Economic Growth Matters Initiative.

The Chamber would like to congratulate all elected members and welcome them to the Chamber Council & family. We would also like to thank all other nominees, and we look forward to working with them in the future.

The Chamber Council will now prepare for the Presidency of Kyle Broadhurst, and start the process of implementing positive change in our community.
