Estera Shortlisted for Two Prestigious International Awards

Estera, a leading provider of fiduciary and administration services, has been shortlisted for two prestigious international awards.

They have been nominated as Independent Trust Company of the Year in the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2017 and the firm’s CEO Farah Ballands has been shortlisted in the ‘Women in Wealth Management’ category of the WealthBriefing European Awards 2017.

The Magic Circle Awards, a well-established event in the wealth industry calendar, recognise the best advisors and managers in the international financial sector. Each category finalist is selected by a judging panel made up of 10 industry experts and the winner is then chosen by a public vote.

WealthBriefing’s ‘Women in Wealth Management’ award identifies remarkable women in the private banking or wealth management sector who are an inspiration to colleagues and clients. The winners are selected by two separate expert judging panels who look for integrity, excellence and insight in the banking and wealth management industry.

Estera was launched in 2016 following the management buyout of Appleby Fiduciary Business from the Appleby Group. Ms Ballands successfully led the MBO before overseeing the rebranding of the business, which employs more than 370 professionals across 10 jurisdictions, as Estera.

Ms Ballands said: ‘Being shortlisted as Trust Company of the Year is testament to our expertise, quality and the commitment that every member of our team invests to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of service.

‘On a personal level, I am delighted to have been shortlisted for this top industry award alongside many talented and highly capable women.’

The Citywealth Magic Circle Awards are due to be held on the 10 May, with the WealthBriefing European Awards scheduled for the following day.
