Chamber Partners with Hurley's Media for Series of Candidates Forums

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Hurley’s Media Cayman 27 to broadcast live the 17 forums for each of the electoral districts in Grand Cayman. The Chamber has invited all candidates in this year’s election to participate in the forum for their electoral district. Each forum in Grand Cayman will be aired on Cayman 27 Live immediately following the evening news. This will allow voters who are unable to travel to their forum the chance to tune in live and hear the strategies and manifestos of their candidates.

Representatives from the Chamber Council will ask a series of national and constituency questions that are based on the findings of a membership survey in March.

“The forums are one of the highlights of the Chamber’s advocacy agenda every election,” said President Kyle Broadhurst. “Each forum provides the candidates in that electoral district an opportunity to share their views on the key issues impacting Chamber members and the community as a whole. The Chamber has been organising these forums each election since the 1980s and we are delighted that Hurley’s Media has agreed to work with us to broadcast the forums which will ensure the widest audience possible,” he said.

The first forum takes place on Monday, April 10, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. where East End candidates will address their voters at the Clifton Hunter High School. The full list of forum dates is as follows and is also available online www.caymanchamber.ky
