Over half of the Candidates Forums for 2017 have taken place, with 10 of the 19 constituencies having met their candidates.
The majority of candidates have been in attendance to meet their voters and express their views, and there have been some lively discussions at the forums, as well as some insightful contrasting arguments, especially on areas such as pensions.
"The turnout thus far has been excellent," said Chamber President, Kyle Broadhurst. "It has been the Chamber's aim for three decades now to ensure voters can meet their candidates and learn more about their views, and with the changes to the voting constituencies and the 'one person, one vote' system, it is more important than ever that voters are learning about the candidates.
There are only 9 forums left, and this week the Chamber of Commerce will be meeting candidates in the following constituencies:
May 2: George Town West (Cayman Islands Further Education Centre)
May 3: West Bay Central (Church of God, Capt. Reginald Parsons Drive)
May 4: West Bay North (West Bay Assembly of God, Finch Drive)
May 5: Newlands (Savannah Primary School)
May 8: George Town East (First Baptist Church)

For those unable to attend, the forums will also be broadcast live on Cayman 27. The forums will also be uploaded in their entirety to the Chamber's YouTube channel.
