Armed Robbery at Red Bay Jerk Chicken Stand

Last night around 9:15pm police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Red Bay Jerk Chicken Stand.

Two males, one about 6'2" slim build and the other about 5'5" both wearing dark clothing made off on foot with a quantity of cash. While leaving the scene a number of shots were discharged. No one was injured during the incident.

Police suspect that these individuals are linked to an incident which occured on Linwood Street about an hour prior, where a man was assaulted and sustained non-life threatening injuries. Shots were fired at this scene also.

The matter is under investigation by the CID. Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the Red Bay area around the time of the incident to contact the GT CID at 949-4222.
