The 2017 Chamber Golf Classic has been postponed until the early stages of 2018 due to poor weather.
We contacted North Sound Golf Club to discuss the condition of the course earlier in the week, and we came to the decision to delay the annual tournament until the New Year.
The new date for the Golf Classic is now Friday, February 16, 2018.
“Obviously this will come as a disappointment to our golfers, but it’s important that we have the best conditions possible for the tournament,” said Wil Pineau, CCE, Chamber CEO.
“With the current conditions of the course we think it would be best to postpone the tournament. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause for our golfers and sponsors.”
The 2015 Chamber Golf Classic was postponed for similar reasons, with inclement weather causing two delays for that tournament. The Classic was originally postponed until February 2016, and then rearranged again for April 2016.
We would like to thank our golfers and sponsors for their patience and understanding of the situation, and hopefully we will be teeing off in the near future.
