DCFS to Hold Prevention of Child Abuse Expo

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is hosting a Prevention of Child Abuse Expo this week. Involving participation of many local welfare agencies, the free event will be held on Wednesday 15 - Friday, 17 November 2017, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Old Library, George Town.

The awareness-raising expo will:

¦ promote greater awareness of child abuse prevention-measures and resources, locally,

¦ target the community, children, parents/caregivers, mandatory reporters under the Children Law, 2012 (Revision)

¦ help visitors make the connections between allied agencies for the care and protection of minors by building bridges to support families.
