Ground-breaking ceremony for Bo Miller Beach |
|
The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture, & Lands has received Cabinet approval to name the North Side property located on Old Robin Road, Old Man Bay (Block 57E, Parcel 252), the Bo Miller Beach in honour of Mr. Derrington “Bo” Miller. The ground-breaking ceremony will take place on Saturday, 24 March 2018. This property was purchased by the Government for the purpose of establishing it as a public beach. Mr. Miller is recognised for having initiated the development, and research of the site, which led to its procurement. Given that Mr. Miller is recognised as a person of distinction in the District of North Side and has made significant contributions to Caymanian society throughout his lifetime, the Government agreed that the beach would be named after Mr. Miller. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the brief ground-breaking ceremony this Saturday from 5pm-6pm.
