Mr. Stephen Burrows discusses finance with SME owner and Chamber Councillor, Roz Griffiths
It is undeniable that business can be tough. Those businesses that have materialised into global chains and household names are in a comfortable zone, but for smaller businesses things aren’t always quite as simple. The Chamber of Commerce acknowledges and supports all types of business, regardless of how well known or successful they are. Moreover, we aim to provide assistance to the small-and-micro sized enterprises (SMEs) that need it.
The Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of free workshops aimed specifically for SMEs. During these sessions, SME owners can listen to guest speakers who will provide them with some of the vital information they will require to be successful. Whether it is learning to finance appropriately, or whether it is to gather marketing tips to ensure your business is successful, the workshops that we offer here at the Visitors Centre are a must-attend event for every SME owner.
The SME workshops for the remainder of 2016 will run biweekly, predominantly on Thursday afternoons. Our next SME workshop, which takes place on Thursday April 28th 2016, entitled ‘Unlock your Retail Potential,’ will focus on some quick fixes for those suffering from poor sales or minimal foot traffic. The guest speakers include retail marketing guru Carlo Artana, operations and merchandising mastermind Alexandre Tabacoff, and communications & social media marketing maverick Trina Savage.
Our SME workshops are essential for SME owners who are looking for tips-and-tricks to improve their businesses. To ensure that you have a seat in one of our workshop seminars, make sure you register for the session online or contact Trisha at 743-9123 to book your place. Our sessions are mostly limited to 20 persons, so get online and get registered… NOW!
