President establishes three committees to assist Council in 2016

Paul Pearson (March 2016)-300Are you interested in meeting with Government and public sector officials to improve relations and to increase economic growth? Would you like to help to develop business and community initiatives that improve the quality of life for all residents?

You are invited sign up to serve on one of three committees that have been established by the Chamber Council to help to implement a three year plan that places the Chamber as the leading catalyst for positive change between business, government and the community. Three areas will be addressed: Government Relations, Membership Services and Development, and Marketing and Communications. Each committee will meet monthly and is chaired by a Council member.

The Government Relations Committee, chaired by President Paul Pearson, will work to improve collaborative efforts with government and arrange a regular meeting schedule with elected and public officials. The committee will also be charged with reviewing legislation which affect Chamber members and the local community.

The Member Services and Development committee, chaired by President-Elect Kyle Broadhurst, will focus on wellness in the workplace and develop a small business incubator programme. PE Kyle and his team will also discuss ways in which to improve membership education and recruitment.

The Marketing and Communications committee, chaired by Secretary Colin Reid, will spend their sessions discussing how to promote the Cayman Islands as a place to conduct business and economic growth. The committee will also promote the Chamber’s role in the community and educate our residents further on the benefits of economic development.

By sitting on one of these three committees you will not only be helping the Chamber succeed in meeting the goals that we have set ourselves, but you will also be making the Cayman Islands a better, safer, and more connected place to live.

If you are interested in serving on one of these three committees, or require further information about them, please let us know by sending an email to info@caymanchamber.ky or call Wil at 743-9122.
