Mentoring Cayman Class Cruise through Sixth Session

Mentor and Student

Students on Catamaran

The sixth session of this year’s Mentoring Cayman class took place last night, Monday 2nd May, with the students and their mentors taking a trip down to George Town Yacht Club. On arrival, they boarded a MarineLand Tour catamaran, and spent the next hour-and-a-half exploring the North Sound area.

This was only the second time during the programme in which all students and their mentors met in a group session. The attendees spent their time on the vessel mingling with one another and discussing their experiences on the course thus far.

This was the penultimate session for the Mentoring Cayman programme this year, with the students meeting with their individual mentors on a workplace visit once again on June 2nd. The programme’s closing reception will take place the following week on June 7th, and all students and their mentors will meet at the Governor’s Residence for the finale.

The Mentoring Cayman programme has been a tremendous success again this year, and the Chamber is seeking 50 business-savvy mentors for 50 students for the 2016/17 series of sessions.

To be involved in this programme is not only rewarding for the students who you encourage and nurture over the year, it is also rewarding for the mentors who have their lives enriched by the process.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor for the 2016/17 programme please contact Nikita Durrant at reception@caymanchamber.ky or on 743-9121. Photos from the sessions can be seen on our Facebook page.
