BE INFORMED: Ready2Work

In association with the Ministry of Education, Employment & Gender Affairs the Chamber of Commerce is holding a BE INFORMED session for the Ministry’s new workplace initiative Ready2Work.

The Ready2Work programme looks to support local unemployed Caymanians to find short-term employment. Attaining short-term employment will help Caymanians to develop their skills and to acquire new ones.

Unemployment is negative for our Islands and any effort to reduce it should be embraced. The Ready2Work programme will not only turn local unemployed individuals into more competent workers, it will also better the chances of them finding permanent, long-term employment.

The Chamber and the Ministry are encouraging local businesses to volunteer for the programme and to help the individuals who are struggling in our community.

In an effort to provide business owners and prospective volunteers with a more detailed understanding of the programme, the Chamber of Commerce is hosting a BE INFORMED session.

The session will take place on 25th May 2016 at the Chamber Visitors Centre from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. The session will be led by Dr. Tasha Ebanks Garcia; Deputy Chief Advisor, Strategic Reforms.

We implore all local business owners to attend this BE INFORMED session and to participate in helping the disadvantaged in our community to thrive.

You can register for the session on our website.
