Department of Tourism Prepares for Only in Cayman 2016

Only in Cayman

The following is a message from the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.

As we gear up what for what we hope to be a busy summer travel season, we begin to shift focus to the planning and execution of our annual autumn promotion, Fall Only in Cayman. The programme is designed to stimulate travel to the Cayman Islands from September to December.

As we will be promoting this through an integrated advertising campaign, CIDOT encourages you to submit compelling offerings that will stimulate additional business during our traditionally slower shoulder season. In this competitive landscape, it’s vital that the Cayman Islands shows the market flexibility, value-for-money and savings. Research and industry partners confirm that submissions featuring an enticing percentage off and added value are highly recommended. From a PR and marketing perspective, a bevy of diverse and persuasive deals will generate buzz, awareness and bookings.

Travel Window: September 1 – December 15, 2016

Booking window(s): The programme’s booking period will be separated into 2 deliberate timelines so as not to have a have a long time frame in the market.

1.Initial Sale Period (to create some urgency): July 1 – September 30

2.*Promo Extension Sale Period: October 1 – November 15

*In early September, CIDOT will send out communications seeking partners that wish to extend their offer or submit a new one based on dates of need. (Of course, the consumer will not know that the promotion will be extended.)

The programme is aimed at but not limited to attracting couples, friend getaways, wellness and dive buddy trips while also engaging the travel trade.

Participation Benefits:

•There is no cooperative cost.

•Fall Only in Cayman will be promoted through an integrated marketing campaign geared towards consumers and trade.

•CIDOT will provide click-through links directly to your website/offer landing page.
