Learn How to Start and Manage Your Small Business

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the European Union initiative known as COSME, will host a series of workshops for budding entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MMSEs) on Tuesday, 21st, Wednesday, 22nd and Thursday, 23rd June at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Governors Square from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Entrepreneurs and micro and small business owners will receive information about starting and managing a new or existing business and how to write and implement a business plan. The agenda for the three day workshop will address various elements of business development including:

Business Planning, Organisation & Management.

•The different forms of business models.

•How to select the right form of business.

•Writing a business plan.

•Local funding options (including interest rates & conditions).

Financial Planning & Management.

•What is financial planning?

•Sales plan, cost plan, profit plan, ratios & valuation.

•Cash flow planning.

•Legal responsibilities & taxes.

Business Development and Market Orientation.

•Orientation on local and international markets for services & products.

•Marketing plan and ‘The 6 Ps.’

•Branding.

•E-commerce and social media.

The workshops will be coordinated and facilitated by Mr. Prakaash Rostam; a Key Expert SME & Private Sector Development Specialist and Mr. James Andrews, a Senior Managing Director of Integra Realty Resources.
