Mentoring Cayman Programme Conclude in Style at Closing Reception

Mentoring Cayman Chamber of Commerce

The Mentoring Cayman programme of 2016 came to its conclusion on Tuesday evening, 7th June.

Her Excellency, the Governor Helen Kilpatrick - who serves as the programme's patron - invited the students and their parents, along with their mentors, to her mansion for a celebratory closing reception.

Chamber President, Paul Pearson, made some brief opening remarks before the presentation of certificates and gifts to the students and mentors commenced.

A flower arrangement was presented to Her Excellency for hosting the reception, and a heartfelt thanks was offered to the Ministry of Community Affairs, Youth & Sports, Hon. Osbourne Bodden, and Chief Officer Dorine Whittaker for all of their hard-work, partnership, and financial support of the programme.

The corporate sponsors were also invited, with representatives from some of the sponsors accepting certificates of gratitude from the Chamber of Commerce at the reception. Others who could not make the reception received their certificates after the event. The sponsors were: Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company Ltd., Cayman Leasing, Endless Energy (Cayman) Ltd., and Rocky’s Diamond Gallery.

It was another fantastic year for the Mentoring Cayman programme, and now the Chamber prepares for the 2017 programme.

The Chamber of Commerce is seeking local business owners and managing directors to volunteer as mentors for next year. If you would be interested in enriching the lives of our youth, please contact Nikita on reception@caymanchamber.ky.
