2016 marks the 10th year in which Cayman Automotive has been a member with the Chamber of Commerce.
And whilst this might appear a milestone in itself, the automotive company are about to make history with the opening of a brand new service centre specifically for electric vehicles, and by introducing the first electric vehicle in Cuba.
Cayman Automotive, who are keen advocates for reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment with their ‘Go Green’ messaging, have been an active member since they joined back in 2006.
At the end of 2015 they hosted their own Business After Hours event which saw a tremendous turnout. The size of the crowd was even more impressive considering that the event took place during the annual Pirates Week.
The Chamber of Commerce is proud to call Cayman Automotive a member, and wishes to congratulate them on their historic announcements. It is excellent to see local businesses develop and thrive to such a great extent.
We spoke to Founder and CEO, John Felder and Executive Sales Manager, Mike Gaskins about the business.

A: Our most popular electric vehicle is the Nissan Leaf, followed by the Tesla.
Q: What did hosting a Business After Hours do for your business?
A: The exposure allowed CALS to highlight our products and services to other members in the Chamber. Usually, the demographics of Chamber members are the most sort after for future business.
Q: What does the future hold for Cayman Automotive?
A: Cayman Automotive is about to make history by delivering the first electric vehicle to Havana, Cuba. Our Global reach now extends to Cuba, Barbados, Bermuda, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and the Bahamas. Our business plan was always to expand to other larger islands in the Caribbean. The Caribbean represents the 3rd largest Trading Partner with the U.S.

A: The Chamber of Commerce provides the best voice for all small businesses. This is extremely necessary in overcoming much of the government bureaucracy that exist in most countries.
