Brainport Development to Visit Cayman Islands

Representatives from Brainport Development – an economic development company situated in the top technology region of Brainport, Eindhoven – will be visiting the Cayman Islands next month in an effort to spread the word about business incubators and ways in which technology can be used to develop and grow economies.

Chamber CEO, Wil Pineau, CCE recently met Brainport Development personnel during his trip to the Netherlands, visiting their offices in the process. Wil also attended a seminar delivered by Brainport Development’s programme director Piet van der Wielen.

Brainport has embraced the innovative entrepreneurship of the Eindhoven region, turning the area into a central hub for the growth and betterment of infrastructure and technology.

By visiting the Islands, Brainport Development will be able to impart their expertise, allowing the Cayman Islands to utilise this information to grow the economy and to encourage a rise in entrepreneurship and technological development.

The trip is being funded by the EU funded COSME initiative.
