This course is a practical approach to the basics of good grammar and writing, which is a must for anyone who has to communicate in writing. Participants will be provided the opportunity to "polish" their skills and should therefore have at least a moderate capability in English.

- The mechanics of vocabulary - prefixes, roots and suffixes
- Overview of key spelling rules
- Standard English grammar with an emphasis on correct usage
- The writing process: getting started, organising information, drafting, and revising
