Managers and supervisors directly affect the key drivers to organizational success. Yet many organizatiohs never fully define their role or essential responsibilities. Aligning daily work activity and daily priorities increases the success of long term mission and goals. Maintaining effective communications with senior management, peers and direct reports ensures efficient use of valuable resources and builds customer satisfaction. It is the manager’s role to create a culture of achievement versus entitlement among all staff. In order for this to happen, all managers and supervisors must share a common understanding of their role and responsibilities. To do less is to fan the flames of chaos and wastefulness.
The DISC personality model provides managers and supervisors with a fast and effective way to improve communication and build teamwork. Teamwork increases as individual members recognize the unique communication styles and work preferences of others. Better understanding yourself and others improves work efficiency and reduces conflict. All members will have an opportunity to complete the personality inventory. Communicating with, and motivating others is easier once you understand their personality style.
Participants will be able to:
- Recognize the central importance of the managers and supervisors role.
- Establish daily work priorities fully supporting mission, objectives and goals
- Reinforce staff commitment and loyalty while redirecting and disciplining
