BASIC ACCOUNTING MADE EASIER is a two day course designed to transform accounting into easily understood concepts; this course will help develop your skills in preparing journal entries, T-accounts and financial statements.
BOOKKEEPING BASICS
- Learn the difference between debits and credits and where to apply each in the financial statements.
- Review the books of original entry that serve as a source of all bookkeeping entries.
- Review the 10 major assumptions supporting the preparation of financial statements.
- Practice recording the three main sources of systematic entries and see how they build to produce financial statements.
- Understand the differences in financial statements categories , such as, assets, liabilities, equity, revenue and expense.
- Practice calculating prepaid amounts, month end adjustments and accruals.
INTERACTIVE CASE STUDIES
- Participate in problem solving exercises that help you understand the basics of accounting.
- Review the financial statements presented for a sample company and then prepare questions to evaluate the financial results.
