Event Description: Work Ethics is defined as a set of values based on hard work and diligence. It is also a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character. Work ethic covers many things including being reliable, having initiative, or pursuing new skills. Employees exhibiting a good work ethic are usually selected for better positions, more responsibility and ultimately promotion and on the other hand employees who fail to exhibit a good work ethic may be regarded as failing to provide fair value for the wage the employer is paying them and should not be promoted or placed in positions of greater responsibility. Generally employees who consistently demonstrate good work ethics can be invaluable assets and are recognized and treated well by their employers in an effort to further the goals of the business. This condensed workshop helps to explore basic work ethics and good practices. It covers among other things: • Attendance and Punctuality • Integrity • Reliability • Flexibility • Self control • Interpersonal skills • Communication skills This course is designed for entry level positions or for individuals struggling with job retention due to varied issues and provides attendees with tools that will help them excel in the workplace.
