Tourism Attraction Board Announces New Marketing Coordinator

The Tourism Attraction Board (TAB) announces the recent hire of Mona Lisa Meade as its Marketing Coordinator.

Mrs. Meade will be responsible for executing the TAB's marketing strategy and coordinating projects which include public relations, digital and social media, advertising and event management for the statutory body and each of its agencies; the Cayman Craft Market, Hell, Pedro St. James, Pirates Week Festival and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. She will also work with the director to realize the promotional goals of the TAB internationally.

"The Tourism Attraction Board, and by extension the Ministry of District Administration, Tourism and Transport, is pleased to have secured the services of Mrs. Meade," explains TAB Director, Patrick Thompson.

"Mrs. Meade possesses a wealth of knowledge of all three islands and is an ambassador for Caymanian culture, history and heritage. She has a myriad of connections in the local community and exemplifies the Caymankind brand. I anticipate Mona will effectively contribute to the continued improvement of our tourism product and the unabating increase in our audiences and patrons."

Receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2005, Mrs. Meade comes to the TAB with 18 years of experience as a communications professional carrying out public relations, digital and social media campaigns and managing large scale events; she is also a former radio and TV news broadcaster.

"As someone with a strong affinity for our islands' history and culture, I am excited to be in the position to help promote Cayman's heritage through our attractions and festivals; not only within our islands but also on an international level," said Mrs. Meade.

Mona served five years as the Communications and Marketing Manager at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) receiving the 2011 Cayman National Cultural Foundation's Arts and Culture Award for Creativity in the Arts (bronze) for community involvement and for her work through the National Gallery.
