Veterans, Seafarers and Those Receiving PFA Get Early Payday

The Cayman Islands Civil Service is bringing forward this month's pay day to Wednesday, 18 March for its employees. This will also mean early payment for local veterans, seamen and those on Permanent Financial Assistance.

A Ministry of Community Affairs spokesman confirmed that the decision by the Head of the Civil Service and Deputy Governor, Hon. Franz Manderson includes the aforementioned groups.

The early payday is part of a range of measures being taken by the Civil Service given the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation. The decision is in recognition of the extra and anticipated expenses that are likely to be incurred by these individuals and their families in buying additional supplies.

The original pay date was Monday, 23 March.
